Make a Difference

The heart of what we do is helping people. We are a values-driven Company actively focused on supporting our employees in the communities where we live and work. Our approach to doing the right thing is a little different, and much like our strategy to win in the markets we serve, our employees are in the driver’s seat.

Founded in 2020, the Skyward Foundation is an employee-led, Company-funded foundation established to support community organizations and interests with whom our employees are aligned and involved. Through volunteer events, fundraising and other social awareness initiatives organized by our employees, the Skyward Foundation has supported organizations benefitting key focus areas that include health and human services, veterans and civic services, food insecurity and the environment. As of the end of 2023, through employee giving and the Skyward Foundation, we have contributed more than $408,000.

Making a Difference for the LGBTQ+ Community

To recognize Pride month in June 2023, Soaring Skyward, one of Skyward Specialty’s six Employee Resource Groups, spearheaded a clothing drive and fundraiser for two organizations, Tony’s Place located in Houston and Lost-n-Found Youth located in Atlanta.

United Support for Maui Wildfire Relief Efforts

In early August 2023, a series of wildfire broke out in Hawai’i predominantly on the island of Maui. The Maui wildfires left a trail of historic destruction across the island, and in its wake, thousands of Hawai’ians were left displaced with uncertain futures.

Skyward Specialty Interns Volunteer at Houston Food Bank

The award-winning Skyward Specialty Summer Internship kicked off in May 2023, marking the beginning of an exciting journey for the newest cohort of interns. This summer’s intern group is comprised of 10 interns working in varying departments across the organization.
