In early October, a federal government shutdown disrupted critical food assistance programs across the United States, creating additional challenges for families already facing food insecurity. As assistance programs were impacted, food banks nationwide experienced increased demand while working with limited resources.
In response, the Skyward Foundation launched a nationwide fundraiser to support nonprofit food banks serving communities across the country. The goal of this initiative was to help ensure families continued to have access to essential meals during a time of heightened need. To further amplify the impact, the Foundation committed to matching every employee donation dollar for dollar.
Thanks to the generosity of Skyward employees and the Foundation’s matching gift program, a total of $37,024 was raised in just one week. These funds provided meaningful support to food banks, enabling them to continue their vital work for individuals and families in need.
