For many of us, the holiday season is filled with joy, family and the excitement of giving. However, for some children, this time of year may not bring the magic they hope for.
In 2024, the Skyward Foundation established a partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Houston, and we are pleased to announce the initiation of our largest collaborative project to date. This holiday season, we elected to sponsor the wish lists of 10 children, each list featuring carefully selected items for youth aged 6 to 11 within our local Houston community.
The Boys and Girls Clubs of America, established in 1860 by four visionary women, recognized the critical need for character development in children. Their mission focuses on creating a safe and inclusive environment where young people can explore their interests and lay the groundwork for their future. Today, this organization has expanded into a nationwide entity, with over 5,400 club locations that serve more than 3 million youth.
Our employees in Houston demonstrated remarkable generosity and commitment, successfully fulfilling all of the children’s wish lists. Following a gift-wrapping event, team members delivered the presents to the families in need.
