Skyward Foundation Launches Fundraiser to Aid Hurricane Helene Victims

In early October 2024, Hurricane Helene made landfall as a powerful Category 4 storm, becoming one of the deadliest hurricanes to strike the United States since Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The storm left thousands of people without power, enough food or essential resources for survival. It impacted hundreds of thousands in the Southeast, including members of the Skyward Specialty team.

In response to the devastation, the Skyward Foundation launched a fundraiser to provide financial support for food and resources to the affected regions in Florida, North Carolina, Georgia and other impacted areas. The Foundation made an initial donation of $10,000 to Feeding America’s Hurricane Helene Disaster Relief Fund. Additionally, it pledged to match every employee donation to the Fund dollar for dollar.

In just three weeks, the donations from Skyward Specialty employees, combined with the Foundation’s matching contribution and initial donation, resulted in a total amount raised of $50,500 for those affected by the hurricane.

Each time there is a need, our team members step up and make a substantial impact. We are incredibly thankful and proud of our compassionate and generous team members who support our giving efforts.
