Giving back is a core part of who we are at Skyward Specialty. We’re driven by a simple principle: helping people. As a values-led Company, we empower our employees to make a real difference in their communities, and that commitment was put into action once again this summer.

On June 24, 2026, twin earthquakes struck the northern coast of Venezuela near San Felipe. A magnitude 7.2 earthquake was followed just 39 seconds later by a magnitude 7.5 mainshock, making it the largest earthquake to hit the country in more than 125 years. The disaster left entire neighborhoods in Caracas, La Guaira and surrounding coastal communities in ruins, striking a nation already stretched thin by economic and political crisis.

In the wake of the earthquakes, the Skyward Foundation launched a fundraiser to provide immediate financial support to three vetted organizations with active relief efforts on the ground. PALUZ, a Venezuelan humanitarian medical organization, is running mobile medical units and emergency primary care in communities where hospitals were evacuated or knocked out of service. We Love Foundation, a U.S.-based nonprofit founded by Venezuelan citizens with deep community ties, is helping donations reach people directly. And Project HOPE, an international nonprofit, deployed assessment teams to the hardest-hit areas to support health systems, mental health, shelter and access to water and sanitation.

The Skyward Foundation made an initial donation of $10,000 to PALUZ to kick off the campaign, and through its Matching Gifts Program, committed to double matching every employee donation, tripling the impact of every dollar given.

Through the incredible effort of our employees and the Skyward Foundation, we collectively raised $20,982 to support mobile medical units, safe water and sanitation, emergency healthcare, search and rescue support, and mental health care for survivors.

Once again, our employees proved that the Skyward Specialty culture extends far beyond the office. Established in 2020, the employee-led Skyward Foundation channels the Company’s resources toward the causes closest to our team’s hearts, and campaigns like this one are a direct reflection of that mission in motion. The culture of giving is underscored by our employees’ generosity and commitment to making a difference in communities both close to home and around the world.
