Skyward Foundation Leads $70K Relief Effort After Hill Country Disaster

In the wake of devastating flash flooding that swept through Texas Hill Country over the July 4 weekend, where more than 135 lives were lost, Skyward Specialty employees came together to help the families in need. Through a two-week Company-wide fundraiser led by the Skyward Foundation, employees rallied to raise more than $70,000 in support of families and communities deeply impacted by the disaster. This is the largest contribution in the Skyward Foundation’s history.

The Skyward Foundation pledged an initial $10,000 donation to kick off the campaign, and to further amplify employee giving, the Foundation committed to double matching every employee contribution. The result was a powerful show of unity and impact, combining individual compassion with collective action to bring meaningful relief to those in need. But for Skyward Specialty, this is more than about raising money. It is a reflection of who we are as a Company.

“Our people consistently show up when it matters most,” said Angela Chaumont, senior vice president of Human Resources and Skyward Foundation Board President. “This flood relief campaign is just the latest example of how our team members step forward, together, to support other communities in times of crisis.”

More than 150 employees generously donated more than $20,000 across various organizations including Community Foundation of Texas Hill Country, Texas Search and Rescue, Kerrville Pets Alive!, Samaritan’s Purse and Send Relief!

Whether responding to natural disasters, supporting employee-led causes, or contributing to long-term recovery efforts, Skyward Specialty continues to live its values out loud, leading with heart and standing together in service of others.

We are proud of our team, grateful for their incredible generosity, and honored to be a part of something bigger than ourselves.

Together, we’re always going Skyward.
